The Beginnings with Brozziloff Elias Abomohor

Casanova Apparel’s story begins in 1947, when Brozziloff Elias Abomohor opened the first store, “Anatómico,” on Calle 30 in Barranquilla’s Historic Center. Guided by an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to quality, the modest shop quickly became a local favorite. Brozziloff instilled the values of dedication, honesty, and excellence in customer service—principles that continue to define the company today.

A Turning Point Under Elias Brozziloff Abomohor Segebre

Brozziloff’s legacy was carried forward by his son, Elias Brozziloff Abomohor Segebre, who recognized the need to grow and adapt. He founded a uniform manufacturing plant, shifting the company’s focus to professionalized textile production. This strategic move secured Casanova Apparel’s position as a leader in Barranquilla's textile industry, marking a new era of growth and diversification. The relocation of the store to Calle 33 reflected the company’s modernization and commitment to innovation.

Sami Elias Abomohor Salcedo and a Vision for the Future

The third generation saw Sami Elias Abomohor Salcedo step into leadership, deeply influenced by his upbringing in the family business. Having grown up surrounded by fabrics and machines, Sami brought both practical knowledge and formal training in Business Administration from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla.


For over 30 years, Sami spearheaded the modernization of Casanova Apparel. He embraced technology, introduced innovative processes, and responded to market demands with a forward-thinking strategy. Under his leadership, the company expanded its reach, diversified its product offerings, and cemented its reputation as a benchmark in the textile industry. In 2021, Sammy David Abomohor Suárez assumed leadership of Casanova Apparel, marking the fourth generation of family stewardship for the business. With a strong academic foundation in Business Administration and Economics from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Sammy has driven the company forward with a strategic focus on sustainability, innovation, and growth.



One of his most notable achievements has been the international expansion of Casanova Apparel, particularly in the United States, where the company’s high-quality products are steadily gaining recognition and strengthening their reputation.
